Well, it’s official. My boyfriend
for the past few years is going to make an honest platypus out of me! We
haven’t picked a place, date, or really anything yet, so there is a lot of
planning to do to reduce the stress associated with such events. As if moving
on a three-week notice, only to find out your new place used to be a meth lab
and just recently you found out that there are residents who are not paying
rent (mice and our other worldly guests) wasn’t stressful enough, oh, and the
move was done without any relocation assistance (even though it was a job
transfer) and in the middle of my last course for my MS in Clinical Psychology.
However, we are stronger together than we are on our own, so I will need to
reach out and swallow my pride, to ask for help in completing the numerous
tasks that need to be completed.
We have other projects on our
horizon for the upcoming year too, many of which will be joint endeavors.
Learning to work together will be an interesting endeavor, as I am often used
to doing everything myself, which may stem from a number of personal
characteristics and personality traits, as I was (and still am, to the best of
my knowledge) an only child, served in the military, and have a horrible track
record when it comes to delegating...I would rather put myself in danger of
experiencing a fibromyalgia flare rather than delegate, so this will be a
learning curve, to say the best. However, like the mighty tree who bends in the
wind, I shall bend too, before I break.
Congratulations!!!! @laceybones1 and I are so happy and excited for you both!
